Religious School
The TBS Religious School is an integral part of the synagogue community’s lifelong learning that will help shape our children’s Jewish identity and enable them to live as proud, committed, and informed Jews. Our school will provide a dynamic, creative, interactive, Judaic learning environment. We will help nurture a sense of Jewish identity by developing a strong foundation in ethics, heritage, prayer, G-d, Torah, and Israel.
Our Religious School provides classes from preschool all the way through middle school. Our curriculum provides a developmentally appropriate for all children, and we aim to teach:
- Jewish Identity and Values
- Family Synogogue, and Community
- Shabbat, Festivals, and Holidays
- Hebrew and Prayer
- Covenant and Commandments
- Jewish Peoplehood and Israel
Our Hebrew classes are offered at 4 levels and students are placed according to progress. At the beginning of the school year, the children will be assessed to their ability level and placed in the appropriate level.
The TBS Religious School meets on Sunday mornings during the school year from September through mid-May from 10:30am until 12:30pm.
Hebrew classes are offered at times set by individual teachers in conjunction with the children in the individual classes.
Once our children have completed the Religious School program, we have a program for teens called the Jew Crew.
